One of THE SENIOR PLAYERS gave his wedding ring to the referee the other week during the game the referee lost the wedding ring on John Dywer Oval, the poor bloke is now paying penance for his acts if anyone finds it they can contact Shane Ewings who will get you in touch with the unfortunate senior.

Seniors Back to Burraneer Day

Greetings All players, friends family of the Mighty Dolphins.

We’d like to invite you all down to John Dwyer Oval Saturday 2nd June for the next senior team home game being Burraneer v Dundas Valley with a 3.15pm kick off.

Our well stocked bar has best prices in Sydney and a wide range of food and drinks can also be purchased from the canteen.

THIS IS THE BACK TO BURRA DAY FOR 2012

Lets get the word out to as many players of past seasons, friends, family and supporters to come down and enjoy our clubs 1st rate facilities keeping the bar and canteen busy while enjoying an afternoon catching up with old mates and watching some fine Subbies Rugby.

On the Meldrum Cup ladder Burraneer is currently in 6th position with Dundas Valley sitting 3rd possibly having the softer draw early in the season. Whatever the current state of affairs this is sure to be a massive battle between two clubs that have a rich history of fierce rivalry.

Wet Weather

During the course of the rugby season we usually receive some rain resulting in ground closures.  This season is looking to be no different.  Due to the fact that not all coaches, managers or parents work next to a computer, it can sometimes take a while for the message of ground closures to get relayed to families.  If you have any doubt about local ground closures you can call Sutherland Shire Council’s Wet Weather Line on 9710 0105.  Their message is generally updated mid morning each day.

Training T's

Burra Training Shirts are now on sale for only $45 each  They come in all sizes.  Whether you are a player or supporter, you will certainly look the part in these shirts.  Grab your shirt on Thursday night from 7pm to 8pm or at most home games..

Gear Update

JERSEYS ARE IN AND ON SALE THURSDAY NIGHT 7pm - 8pm

Managers and/or coaches can now collect their team’s allocation of socks from the Club.

Shorts are now also available for sale at a cost of $25.00 per pair but we are still awaiting jerseys for older players.

Players in u/8s and over MUST have a mouthguard.

Note: Players in the u/10’s and over must receive a number which will be paid for by the club and arranged by your manager once all players have their jerseys. The number must be unique for identification purposes so do not get your own number.

Become a Member

The 2012 Club Membership is now open to all parents and supporters of the club.
Membership is restricted to 18s or over and does not carry any voting rights or other rights other than some special bonuses mentioned below. Membership is limited to 100 people and we have already sold around 50 memberships.

So get in before all badges are sold. Each member will be allocated a 2012 Member Badge (numbered) attached to a Key ring, a Limited Edition Member’s Only Coldy Holder, and 50c discount on bar prices (must show your badge to receive discount).

We are also planning a 100 Club night for members only with food supplied. The “First 15” member badges were recently auctioned off through an Online Auction and resulted in $1,325 being raised for the club.

Matt Bell will be around the club on certain training nights and games at home so look out for him and get your badge & coldy holder..
